John Douglas Kruse

A memorial service for John Douglas Kruse, age 35, of Pataskala will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 27, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Father Bill Hritsko as celebrant. Friends may call from 5-7:30 prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

John was born January 18, 1983 in Bloomington, Illinois. He passed away on August 21, 2018. John was a 2002 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School and had been employed with Ascena Retail Group and Amazon in Etna. John was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting with his father, camping, working on cars and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Diane (Adams) Kruse; sister, Sarah (Brian) Alpert of Middleburg Heights; nephews, Jack and Maxwell Alpert; maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Adams of Pataskala; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Adams, Alfred Kruse and Julie and Richard Hedstrom.
