John Lahmon

  A funeral service celebrating the life of John Lahmon, 71, of Warsaw, will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. John was born in Newark, Ohio on May 29, 1947 to the late Floyd and Mary (Hinton) Lahmon.  He passed away on October 8, 2018 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. Prior to retirement, he was a truck mechanic for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his loving wife, family and especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon (Dickerson) Lahmon, whom he married September 25, 1964; children, Debbie Comston, Andy (Dee Dee) Lahmon, Cheryl (Randy) Moore, Christy (Dan) Kosikowski and Matt Lahmon; grandchildren, Michael, Dustin, Tyler, Greg, Megan, Jhonna, Dorian, Drew, Brittany, Devon, Drayden, Katie, Jordan, Ashley, Morgan, Zach, Zane and Zaiden; sisters, Faye (C.J.) St. John, Laura (Bob) Meek and Carol (Larry) Tomes; brothers, Bob Lahmon, Jim (Jane) Lahmon, Ralph (Linda) Lahmon, Floyd (Kim) Lahmon, George (Jane) Lahmon and Ronald (Bea) Hinton; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Fran Cathel, Doris Wolfe and Betty Messinger; and brothers, Carey Lahmon, Bill Lahmon and Dick Hinton.
