John Daniel Lancia

Memorial Services, celebrating the life of John Daniel Lancia AKA Norse King, 82, formerly of Columbus, will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 19, 2021; in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville.

He passed away December 15, 2021 in Johnstown, following an extended illness. He was born April 11, 1939 in Columbus, the son of the late John and Jean (Longo) Lancia. He was a graduate of Columbus Central High School, class of 1956, and worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation, as well as a salesman for Sun TV and Rite Rug.

He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed watching NBA basketball.

He is survived by his children: Sherry (Elvin) Highfield, Karen Quigley, Linda (Todd) Allison, Becki (Craig Barbee) Lancia, and John (Carri) Lancia; his 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his brother Paul Lancia and niece Michelle and nephew Joseph.
