John Michela

John D. Michela, 71, of Thornville, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Lancaster, following an extended illness. He was born Feb 9, 1943 in San Rafael, California, the son of the late Jack and Alice (Rosatelli) Michela. John served honorably in the US Marine corps; was a Viet Nam Vet and retired truck driver. John had been living in Ohio for the last 7 years. He enjoyed cooking for his friends in his apartment complex and playing cards.He is survived by his daughters Denise Lee of Roseville, California and Gina Randall of Carmichael, California, his sister Susan Michela of Folsom, California and his three grandchildren Wayne Lee, Rickie Nicole Randall and Travis James Randall and great granddaughter Carrington Avery Lee.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beth in 2008.Honoring Johns wishes, there will be no visitation or services.HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation services are honored to care for the Michela family.An on-line guest register is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com
