John William Phelps

John William Phelps, age 68, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.)

John was born January 20, 1951 in Delaware, Ohio to the late William Edward and Mary Jeanette (Fleming) Phelps. John enjoyed fishing, playing video games and watching movies.

He is survived by a sister, Phyllis J. Moran of Newark; brother, Edward Eugene Phelps of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Ella Moran, Carolyn Ann Friend and Susan Jane Rhodes.

A private family gathering will be observed.
