A Funeral Mass for John Richard Jack Brennan, age 85, of Hebron, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 5133 Walnut Road, Buckeye Lake, with Father William Hritsko officiating. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Jack was born August 15, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Agnes (Lehner) Brennan. He passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home. Jack was a 1947 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Columbus. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korean Conflict, where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Jack was the owner of A-1 Auto Parts. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing and travel.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen (Trapp) Brennan, whom he married May 10, 1952; daughter, Eileen (Ed) Thomas of Hebron; sons, John (Birdie) Brennan of Columbus and Dave (Kathy) Brennan of Hebron; grandchildren, David (Allison) Thomas, Brian (Melissa) Thomas, Lindsay Brennan, Mallory (Shawn) Chafins and Alex Brennan; great-grandchildren, Jake, Sam and Aubriana.Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville, where a Vigil Service will be held at 8:00 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.Hoskinson Funeral& Cremation Serviceis honored to care for the Brennan family.
