John Richard Reelhorn

A funeral service, celebrating the life of John Richard Reelhorn, 87, of Pataskala, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 27, 2016 in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Larry Maddox as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery. Richard died peacefully at home on Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 with his family at his side. He was born in Columbus on May 28, 1929, the son and last of 7 children born to the late John Shipman and Minnie Florence (Tunison) Reelhorn. He was a graduate of Kirkersville H.S., class of 1947. He worked as a manufacturers representative for The F.F. Leonard Company in Columbus for many years. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Pataskala. He is survived by his loving family: daughter Beth Hawley of Pataskala, sons Jim (Shirley) Reelhorn of Blacklick, John (Sharon) Reelhorn of Pickerington, Bob (Judy) Reelhorn of Baltimore; his 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.In additions to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife Annabelle in 2012. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville, and again on Thursday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Generations Hospice in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
