A graveside service for John Thomas Stockdale, 98, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in the Zanesville Memorial Park with full military honors.John died early Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home. He was born June 26, 1917, in LaGrange, Illinois, the son of the late Franklin S. and Hattie (Dinsmore) Stockdale. John Served honorably in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was employed by Timken Roller Bearing in Zanesville, and later worked construction as a carpenter. He retired from the Buckeye Lake Marina.He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching sports on T.V. and spending time with the great grandchildren. He also loved to operate the snowblower. He was a member of the Hosanna Lutheran Church.He is survived by his loving family: daughters Lynn (Larry) Robinette, Beverly (Kevin) Londergan, Rebecca Stockdale, son John (Patsy) Stockdale, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Stockdale on June 24, 2009, and his daughter Deborah K Stockdale in 1986.The family prefers that memorials be directed to the foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
