John W. Clendenin, Jr.

John Willett Clendenin,Jr, age 81, of Buckeye Lake, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Newark following an extended illness.He was born in Springville, Tennessee, the son of the late John W. and Margaret E (Nicholson) Clendenin Sr. John Jr. was the last of his 7 sisters & brothers.He served honorably in the US Navy as a fire control technician and US Air Force as a bomb navigation repairman during the Korean Conflict; and retired from the Newark AFB after 25 years of honorable service, where he worked in modular repair and the minuteman test area prior to being advanced to production controller.He is survived by his wife Norma Jean (Rosebraugh) Clendenin, whom he married on March 11, 1966, his children: Kimberly Gunner of Urbana and Mark Clendenin of Newark.At Johns request there will be no visitation or services locally.
