John William Moody

A private graveside service for John William Moody, age 87, of Newark will be held at Wilson Cemetery. Mr. Moody was born in Hemlock, Ohio on April 4, 1927 to the late John and Beatrice (Clouse) Moody. He passed away at Grant Medical Center on October 3, 2014.Prior to retirement, he was a supervisor with Kaiser Aluminum for 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Grace (Smith) Moody, whom he married on April 15, 1950; daughter, Cindy Lu (Robert) Evans of Maysville, WV; grandson, John (Nancy) Cochran of Newark; granddaughter-in-law, Tammy Hottinger; and half-sister, Linda (Jim) Wilson.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandson, Michael H.
