Joshua Cameron Ellis

A funeral service celebrating the life of Joshua Cameron Ellis, age 34, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, at the Heath Church of Christ with Jordan Tuttle officiating. Burial will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, at the church, 1331 Chapel Way in Heath.

Joshua was born October 5, 1988 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home. Josh was a 2007 graduate of Newark High School. He was employed with Discover for the past eight years. Josh enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons and was a gamer. He also enjoyed bowling and participating in the Youth to Youth organization. Josh was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines and the Green Bay Packers.

He will be greatly missed by his mother and step-father, Lori and Charlie Bline of Newark; his brother, Dakota Neibarger (Caitlyn Smith) of Ocoee, Florida; step-brother, Colin Bline of Newark; grandmothers, Linda Moore and Karen Porter, both of Heath; great-grandmother, Charlotte Moore of Hebron; aunts, uncles and cousins; his dogs, Zeus and Calypso, and cats, Baloo and Lucy; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kevin Moore and Jack Ellis; and great-grandfather, Kenneth Moore.
