Joy Anne Coder

Joy Anne Coder, age 66, of Newark, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Joy was born January 5, 1952 in Centerburg, Ohio to the late Kenneth L. and Ada Joanne (Adams) Coder.

Joy was a 1970 graduate of Newark High School and retired from Newark City Schools where she had been employed in housekeeping. She enjoyed gardening and was a nature lover.

She is survived by a sister, Rebecca L. “Becky” Coder of Newark; and was much loved by many family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Cunningham, in 2008; and by three brothers, Kenneth, David and Kevin Coder.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Friday, October 12, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
