Joy Diane Kopp

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Joy D. Kopp, 71, of Newark will be held on Monday, Dec. 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Betsy M. Williams, officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.Joy was born on August 25, 1944, to the late Francis and Mary (Gutridge) Mechling. She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry, to whom she was married for 55 years.Joy loved to play bingo and watch TV game shows. She was a great cook and enjoyed cross stitching. In the past, she was a Sunday school teacher at St. Paul Lutheran church and volunteered at Johnny Clem Library. Most of all, she loved taking care of her grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Larry; she is survived by her loving family; sons: Eric (Lora) and Mark; daughters: Tracy (Randy) Dingey and Laura (Justin) Ridenbaugh; and her sister, Starr Cummings; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grand children; and many nephews and nieces.Family and friends may call on her on Sunday, Dec. 27th from 3 to 5:00 p.m. at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home located at 179 Granville Street, Newark.
