Joy Darlene Harris-Grace

Joy Darlene Harris-Grace, age 82, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born September 25, 1939 in Glenford, Ohio to the late Harold and Ora Faye (Brannon) Cook.

Joy was a hairdresser for many years with Vogue Beauty Shop.

She is survived by her husband, Dean M. Grace; daughter, Jodi L. Harris of Newark; step-daughter, Tresha Winston of Newark; grandchildren, Candice, Jaime and Jhet; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Kyle, Kayden, Tharron, and Madelyn; great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Reid, Dean and Hollie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lee Harris, Sr.; son, Robert Lee Harris, Jr.; two brothers, Donald Cook and Jack Cook; and two sisters, Norma Montgomery and Evie Sforza.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, OH 43055.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date at Wilson Cemetery.
