Joyce A. Cooperrider

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Joyce A. Cooperrider, age 66, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.Joyce was born on August 3, 1949 in Newark, Ohio to the late Martin and Eloise (Levingston) Bixler. She passed away on August 2, 2016 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.Prior to retirement, Joyce was an underwriting assistant with State Farm for 41 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening and going out with her friends for dinner and shows. She also cherished spending time with her loving family.Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Wendell R. Cooperrider, whom she married March 22, 1969; two daughters, Susan (Mike) Wallace and Kristy Cooperrider; two granddaughters, Kiera and Lilian Wallace; one brother, Martin (Janet) Bixler Jr.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joyce to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio or to the American Cancer Society.
