Joyce E. Mcstraw

A funeral service celebrating the life of Joyce Elaine McStraw, age 77, of Thornville, will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating. Burial will follow at Millersport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Joyce was born in Erie, PA on February 28, 1940 to the late Gaylord and Doris (Jones) Coder. She passed away on August 23, 2017. Joyce was a devoted homemaker to her loving family. She was an animal lover and was known for rescuing stray animals. She will be missed by all that knew her. Survivors include her daughters, Tammy (Sky) Gettys, Cindy McStraw and Tracy (Paul) Sandbrink; sister, Carol (John) Stockton; brother-in-law, Richard McStraw; nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee McStraw in 2005; and one grandson.Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Joyce and the McStraw family.
