Juanetta Marolyn Metheny

A memorial service celebrating the life of Juanetta Metheny, age 85, of Pataskala will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, at the Kirkersville Hoskinson Funeral home.

Juanetta was a gifted and witty storyteller as well as an interested listener, a rare combination in a person. She loved playing the piano and crocheting. She was also a card shark when it came to playing rummy.Juanetta was born in Akron Ohio along with 4 younger sisters, Dora, Gwendolyn and Patricia.

Hers’ was not an easy life and from a very young age she mothered all her sisters. Despite the adversities she faced Nett became an accomplished and loving person who knew how to work hard and enjoy life.

She was a mother, wife, real estate agent and mentor. Always volunteering her time and talents. Nett loved being a Virgo, she thought it one of the most noble astrological signs. She especially liked the nurturing part.

Nett had one son Jim who passed a few years back.
She was his biggest cheerleader and always encouraged him to do his best.

Nett always sees people for their best. Even at 85 she was driven to improve her life and her skills. Technology didn’t frighten her. She just did her best to try to figure it out and was not afraid to ask for help, on numerous occasions. She loved being around kids and so often, when she interacted with them, you might mistake her for a fellow 10 year old.

We should all try to be more like Juanetta enthusiastic for life, learning
and loving with our whole hearts.
