Juanita Mae Bope, age 90, of Rushville, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Pickering House surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Thornville, Ohio on October 10, 1922, to the late Russell and Mabel (Hanby) Baker. She was a life member of Rushcreek Presbyterian Church, West Rushville, Volunteer at Fairfield Medical Center, and a former Rushville Union Lioness. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and DukeFan.Juanita was married at her parents home in Rushville on June 6, 1943. Juanita is survived by her husband: Francis P. Bope, they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2013, sons: Gary F. (Victoria) Bope, Lancaster; James P. Bope, Rushville; daughters: Bonnie J. (Craig) Stanley, Rushville; Nancy R. (Darrell) Myers, Rushville; 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law: Anna May Baker, Rushville.In addition to her parents, shewas preceded in death by herbrother: James R. Baker anddaughter-in-law: Deborah M. Bope.A funeral service, celebrating Juanitas life, will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the Rushcreek Presbyterian Church, 7741 Main Street, West Rushville, with Reverend Dr. Richard Riedel officiating.
