Juanita E. “Buffy” Guy, 69, of Newark, passed peacefully Monday, October 3, 2022, at OSU Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born April 24, 1953, in Newark to the late Charles Patterson and Marjorie Watling. Buffy enjoyed tending to her plants, shopping and had a love for Mopars. She loved all dogs, but especially her Labradors. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and teasing her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Bob Guy, her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Tina Inscore, Paula (Tim) Byers, and Bobby (Dawn) Guy; grandchildren, Jesse (Lee) Arthurs, Nathan (Molly) Modesitt, Kodey Modesitt, Austin Guy, Bryce Guy, Gage Gunton, Royce Susil, Leah Pheneger, and Maddie Barnhart; great grandchildren, Bryley and Korbin Arthurs, Kingston Guy, and Theo Modesitt; siblings, Marlena Foltz, Edward Patterson, and Dixie Watling; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Marlene and Louise. Memorial contributions may be made in Buff’s memory to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Dr., Heath, OH 43056. Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 12-2 pm at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark. The family has asked for everyone who attends to dress casually.
