A celebration of the life of Judith Diane Phelps, age 75, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 24, at the Southgate Church of Christ, 1075 South 30th Street in Heath with Pastor Rob Hartman officiating.
Judith was born October 22, 1947 in Newark, Ohio to the late James Howard and Mary Margaret (Hartupee) Cashdollar. She passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at her home.
Over the years, Judy was employed as a cashier at Lowes and Wendy’s and was also a manager and bartender for the NCO Club at the Newark Air Force Base.
She is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Dennis Himes and Jamie L. Heistand, all of Newark; a son, Larry (Betsy) Phelps of Johnstown; grandchildren, Scotty (Lisa) DeVoll, Kristan Phelps (Michael Goldsmith), Daniel Holloway (Wynonna Lacey), Tre’ Phelps, and Bailey McCord; great-grandchildren, Emily Carl, Vivian DeVoll, Eli Goldsmith, Dylan DeVoll, and Easton Goldsmith; brother, William (Judy) Cashdollar of Newark; sister-in-law, Kris Cashdollar of Florida; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Kelly McCord and Shelly Phelps; by son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Heistand; and by a brother, James Allen Cashdollar.
