Julia Toth Eveland

A funeral service celebrating the life of Julia Toth Eveland, age 97, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Chaplain Greg Rosser officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Julia was born February 1, 1926 in Muskingum County, Ohio to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Honda) Toth. She passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Arlington Care Center.

Julia retired from State Farm Insurance after 27 years of service where she had been a Claims Adjuster. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 285 in Hebron since 1953. Julia was a snowbird who wintered in Florida. An avid sports fan, she loved watching the Reds and the Bengals.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Shari Eveland of Heath; grandchildren, Julie Bowles of Junction City, DJ Bowles of Glenford, and Lacie (Brian) Murdock of Somerset; great-grandchildren, Clay (Leah) Woneymaker, Carter Woneymaker, Simon Murdock, Ethan Bowles, and Presley Bowles; special nieces, Ethel Dennison, Chelse and Margie, and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul S. Eveland; five brothers, Steven, Joseph, Jim, Mike, and Louie Toth; and by a sister, Grace Toki.
