A funeral service celebrating the life of Julia A. Hardin, 91, Newark, will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Nick Shaw officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, two hours prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Julia was born in Thornville, Ohio on July 23, 1929 to the late Stanley F. and Ruth A. (Cooperrider) Crist. She passed away at her son’s residence in Columbus on September 22, 2020. Prior to retirement, she was an underwriter with State Farm for 32 years. She was a former member of the Miniature Club and Quilting Club in Newark, and also a former member of Freedom Years. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Larry K. (Mary) Hardin; grandchildren, Andrew (Rene) Davidson, Joshua (Danielle) Hardin, Jacob (Shannon) Hardin and Kristina K. Hardin, Karena (Nora) Kaczmarek, Rachel (Zach Burns) Kaczmarek, Ashley (Katie) Kaczmarek; great grandchildren, Avery, Charli, Finn, Parker, Presley and Haylee; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2004, Robert “Bob” Hardin; daughter, Kay Hardin Davidson; grandson, Jason Robert Hardin; and several brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Julia to the Licking County Center for Sight. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Julia and her family.
