Julia Josephine Johnson

Julia Josephine Johnson, 82, of Newark, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at her home. She was born March 4, 1940, in Cambridge, OH to the late Harold and Eleanor (Cain) Jackson. Julia was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed watching sports. She took great care of her flower garden and was a past President of the Flower Club in Reynoldsburg. Julia always looked forward to hosting parties, but above all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Lisa) Bennett II, Scott Bennett, Christine (John) Houde, and Jacqueline (Devon) Bennett; step children, David (Cindy) Johnon and Dennis (Judi) Johnson; 15 grandchildren, Nicole (Michael), Emily (Kaleb), Jeremiah, Raeanne (Justin), Danielle, Jack, Sydney, Colin, Grace, Grant, Jullion, Jared, Matthew, Brock, Kyle; eight great grandchildren, Leighton, Sophia, Willard, Layla, Raina, Lena, one on the way, Maeve, Jocelyn, and Eli; sister, Annetta Rosato; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “BJ” Johnson. Memorial contributions may be made in Julia’s memory to Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Ave., Columbus, OH 43214 and/or Aladdin Shrine, 1801 Gateway Circle, Grove City, OH 43123 Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2022, from 4-7pm at the HOSKINSON Funeral Home in Kirkersville where a memorial service will be Saturday, August 27, 2022, beginning at 1:00pm.
