A funeral service, celebrating the life of June May McKinley, 89, of Pataskala, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery. June died peacefully at home, Thursday evening, November 16, 2017, following an extended illness. She was born June 29, 1928, in Licking County, the daughter of the late Frank A. and Margaret L. (Muller) DeMint. She retired after many years of service at Western Electric/ A.T.& T. in Columbus. She was an active member of the Hebron Church of the Nazarene, as well as a charter member at Hebron and at Pataskala Church of the Nazarene and loved sewing, quilting, gardening, bird watching, traveling and Reading. She also loved to sing. She is survived by her loving family: Husband Richard; Daughters Peggy Merryman, Elta L Writesel, Dolores (Curtis) Carte, Julia (Jack) Nix, Susan Hamrick; Sons: Richard (Kathy) McKinley, Bert (Margie) McKinley, Bill (Peggy) McKinley; her 30 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, along with her 4 great-great grandchildren and a sister Jewel Woody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers Milo and David DeMint and a sister Joan Presley, and a grandson Johnny Costlow.
