Justine M. Kelley

A Homegoing Service, celebrating the life of Justine M. (Garrison) Kelley, 88, of Newark, will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, 383 Washington Street, Newark, two hours prior to the homegoing service on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Justine was born in Newark, Ohio on May 14, 1936 to the late Floyd and Margie (Garrison) Saunders. She passed away on December 9, 2024 at the Laurels of Heath, with her two daughters, Tina and Margo, by her side, praying and singing “We Are Going To See The King.” Justine was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and was a beautician for many years. She enjoyed being a Licking Memorial Hospital Twig Member, making ceramics and artex paintings, crocheting, sending cards and spending time with her grandbabies, family and friends. Survivors include her children, Margo Harris, John Harris Jr., Tina Scott, Teresa Felix, Margie (Granville) Harris and Bobby Kelley; grandchildren, Bobby Kelley Jr., Joshua Scott, Michael Kelley, Lawrence Scott, Walter (Stacy) Felix Jr., Damon (Holly) Felix, Shanisha Felix, Kevin (Jacinda) Felix and Sean Felix; great grandchildren, Mionah Justine Scott, Lyric Johnson, Sonny Scott; niece, Valerie Saunders; nephews, Delbert Saunders Jr., Terry Saunders and Timothy (Mamie) Saunders; and many more grandchildren, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Harris Sr. and her second husband, Bunyan C. Kelley; son, Daryl (Sandra) Garrison; son-in-law, Keith Scott; brother, Delbert Saunders; sister, Shirley Hunter; and nephew Stephon (Teresa) Saunders.
