Kandace J. Wood

Kandace "Kandi" Eskew Wood, 57, of Newark, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on January 2, 2022. She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on December 11, 1964 to Joetta K. (Erlewine) Eskew and the late Charles David Eskew. A memorial service celebrating Kandi's life will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Heath, 525 S. 30th Street, Heath. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Kandace was a devoted homemaker to her family and was a member of the Ohio Association of the Deaf. She enjoyed shopping, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and her many special friends. She will missed by everyone that knew her. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Robert L. Wood; daughters, Brandi Richards and Heather Richards; sisters, Beth (Shaun) Straw and Amy (Dr. John) Robertson; grandchildren, Josie, Addison, Jaxson, Marlee, Scarlett and James; aunts, Barbara (Jerry) Fields and Janice Nolan; nieces and nephews, Megan (Dan) Golden, Ashley Straw and Johnny, Nicholas, Peyton, Storm, Alexis and Cole Robertson; and many special friends within the deaf community. She was preceded in death by her father. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kandace to the Ohio Association of the Deaf.
