Karen Jo Bowman

Karen was a resident of Ohio, of late, and was a longtime resident of Oklahoma where sha had family and friends. Karen passed away on the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Licking memorial Hospital, Newark, Ohio, with her family at her side. She had been actively fighting Cancer with all her spirit. She said that she has too many shenanigans to do and still too many people to be here to not fight to beat Cancer.

Karen left a mark within her community of friends and family. Her heart and love for her work as a devoted employee in both Ohio (Adornetto's pizzeria in Zanesville) and Oklahoma (Kirby’s café and Classic Diner). She loved her customers and her work family very much.

Karen loved life and believed that it should be lived to the fullest and with honesty to yourself and others. She believed that Karma was real. She was known for her open heart, loyalty and devotion to her friends and family. Karen was quick-witted and liked to make you laugh. Karen lived a life of challenge in many ways. She learned to overcome and to move forward. She made her decisions and had no regrets. She lived fiercely and fully on her terms. She was built tough. If you were within her circle of friends and family, you knew the beliefs and feeling of Karen to be true and honest.

Living a simple life with enjoyment of her kids and grandchildren, enjoyed being on Facebook and watching TV. Karen loved her family and always wanted the best for them. She gave all she could. Karen loved her fur babies with all her heart LD and Minnie Mess.

SURVIVING Karen is her brother Thomas (Tom) Harner and his wife Kristy. Chaz Harmer (nephew) including (1 great nephew) and Brittany Harmer (Niece) (1 great niece) and Jayse Harmer (Nephew).

Her children Melissa Rector (Daughter) Chawntilly Nelson (Daughter), Jonathan Doyle and Regina Doyle, wife (Son) and Mark Bowman (Son).

Grandkids Makenzie Hossier (3 great grandchildren) Seaira Swendryck, Keaira Nelson, Frake Delacal (2 great grandchildren) Seba and Jermey Delacal and Caley Wise (2 great grandchildren) Leah, and Alec Delacal, Emma, Cheyanne (! Great grandchild)

Her God Daughter Amber Hammons, Michael Hammons God Grandson, and Chris Luchsigner travel/special friend.

Preceded in death by Mark F. Bowman (Ex-Husband), Sue A Harmer (mother) Mark Kathryn Rennard (Sister) Michael L Harmer (Brother) and her beloved pet LD.
