Karen Lynne Ray

A memorial visitation, celebrating the life of Karen Lynne Ray, 80, of Newark, will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Karen was born in Newark, Ohio on November 23, 1941 to the late Donald W. and Elsie Leona (Gough) Norris. She passed away at her residence on January 3, 2022. Prior to retirement, Karen was a material specialist with DRMS in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Denice (Jason Thorbahn) Hoy; grandsons, Justin (Barbary) Sanderson and Aaron (Jessica) Hoy; great grandchildren, Cody, Raelynn, Carly and Cecelia; nephew, David Jones; nieces, Monica and Katherine Hadnot; step-grandsons, Brett and Brandon Thorbahn; and numerous friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ella Jones and Benita Norris. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Karen and her family.
