Kathleen Virginia Miles

Kathleen Virginia Miles, 90, formerly of Heath, passed away early Monday, August 10, 2020 in Newark following an extended illness. She was born in Reedsville (Meigs County) Ohio, on March 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Delbert and Lola (Reed) Barber. She had worked as a housekeeper in a hotel following her husband Oscars retirement and their move to Florida. She was a lifelong homemaker and caregiver for her family, whom she adored. She also played the "stand-up" string bass, even though it was nearly as tall as she was. She loved playing and listening to bluegrass music. She died, as she lived, a faithful Jehovah's Witness. She is survived by her loving family: her sons Robert (Sherry) Miles and Richard Miles; along with her 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Kathleen was the last of a very large family. Which, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar, her many siblings and her daughter Patricia Chiki. Following her wishes, she will be cremated and her remains scattered with those of her husband Oscar. HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Hebron, is honored to care for Kathleen and her family.
