Kathleen Ridenour

Kathleen Ann Kaser Ridenour, age 64, of Thornville, Ohio died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. She was born April 25, 1948 to the late Dr. Harold and Winogene Foster Kaser. She had many fond memories from growing up in Coshocton, Ohio and graduated from Coshocton High School. Kathleen attended Muskingum College where she met her husband John, then graduated from Ohio State University and later attained her Masters Degree in Education. Kathleen loved her family, teaching school and her church life. In her free time, she was an avid reader, gardener and baker. This was her 34th year of teaching at the Northern Local School District, where she was currently a seventh grade language arts and history teacher. She was an educator who was dedicated to her students and truly believed in the value of education.She was extremely active for many years in her church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Thornville. She was involved in many different ways at the church, but especially enjoyed preparing cinnamon rolls for the third Saturday breakfasts and the special friends she worked with there. Kathleen is dearly missed and survived by husband John, daughters Christina Ridenour (Christina Hewitt) and Lisa Marton (Scott) and beloved granddaughter, Paige. She is also survived by sister, Sharon (Roger) Campbell, brothers H. Steven (Joy) Kaser and James (Jackie) Kaser, and many nieces and nephews.Kathleens life and memory will be honored during calling hours at Trinity United Church of Christ on Friday, September 21, 3:00-5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.A funeral service, celebrating Kathleens life, will be held Saturday, September 22, 10:30 am at Trinity United Church of Christ in Thornville with Rev. Patricia Battle officiating. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery in Thornville.
