Kathy Lou Zeller

A funeral service celebrating the life of Kathy Lou Zeller, age 66, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Donald “Critter” Allen officiating. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Kathy was born September 9, 1952 in Newark, Ohio to the late John R. and Virginia E. (Bonham) O’Connor. She passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her home.

Kathy was a graduate of Newark High School and Ohio University-Lancaster with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She had been employed with Dynacraft/Pal Joey Golf Company, Discover Card and Giant Eagle in Heath. Kathy was a member of Cox United Methodist Church (The Disciple Factory). She loved horses and used to race them. She also loved her dog, Gracie.

She is survived by a daughter, Tara (Chris) Hunt; son, David (LeighAnn) Zeller; six grandchildren, Steven, Ashley, Natasha and Cheyenne Hunt and Heather and Connor Zeller; nieces, Rhonda Baughman, Terrie Sutton and Kelly Heagren; and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susie Science; nephew, Ronnie Maidel; aunts, Margaret Wilson and Estle Henthorn; and a cousin, Eddie Walters.
