Kay Jeannette Baughman

A funeral service celebrating the life of Kay Jeannette Baughman, age 88, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor John Sensabaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Kay was born October 26, 1930 in Hanover, Ohio to the late John and Anne (English) Mann. She passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home. Kay enjoyed old cars and belonged to a hot rod club with her husband. She also liked watching birds, especially hummingbirds, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, James (Rhonda) Baughman; daughter, Cheryl (Benny) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Debbie Baughman; grandchildren, Lee (Lila) Miller, Kaytlynn (Zackaire) Null, James Baughman, Ashley Boehm, Matt Wheeler, Mindy Dunlap, Tracey Rakaska, Steve Rakaska and Bethany Markle-Oney; several great and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Zane (Terry) Mann; sister, Nancy (Bobby) Pigg; sister-in-law, Helen Mann of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Baughman; a son, Rod Baughman; a brother, Walter Mann; and three sisters, Helen Penrose, Geraldine Livingston and June Sensabaugh.
