Keaton Michael Willey

A funeral service celebrating the life of Keaton Michael Willey, age 31, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 21, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Fullen officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Keaton was born August 30, 1987 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on September 16, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Keaton attended E.S. Weiant School and was a graduate of the Newark High School MRDD program. He was granted a wish through the Make A Wish Foundation and was also a part of the Adventures for Wish Kids. Keaton loved to shake rattles and ride in golf carts.

He is survived by his mother, Beth Ann (Lane) Willey (Charley Campbell); father and step-mother, John William and Carla May Willey; brother, Myelin Willey; sister, Alivea Lawrence; step-brother, Frank Marshall (April Ginnery); nephew, Fane Willey; paternal grandmother, Linda Kiser; aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend who was like a dad, Tom Lawrence.

We are so grateful for a very special uncle, Jeff Willey, who donated a kidney to Keaton and gave us many more years to enjoy him. Thank you, Uncle Jeff, from the bottom of our hearts!

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Lane; and paternal grandfather, James Willey.
