Kelly Denise Barber

A memorial service celebrating the life of Kelly Denise Barber, age 57, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Kelly was born April 21, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harry Dean and Nancy (Claypool) Willis. She passed away on October 26, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Kelly enjoyed music and played the guitar as well as wrote her own music. She loved people and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, April Barber of Reynoldsburg; son, Christopher “Wader” Barber of Hebron; grandchildren, Kaleigha Holloway, Markayla Holloway, Dylan Adkins and one on the way, Amora; sisters, Paula (Larry) Zimmerman of Columbus, and Leslie (Gary) Willis of Buckeye Lake; and brother, Bruce (Tiffany) Willis of Reynoldsburg; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Corianne, Brenton and Zachary; great-nephews, Braxton, Ke’Andre and Ka’ Mir; father-in-law, Duke (Kim) Barber; mother-in-law, Patricia Zinck; and sister-in-law, Lisa (Carl) DeLong.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Mark Allen Barber, in 2007; two brothers, Steve “Steveo” Willis and Anthony “Tony” Willis; and father-in-law, Robert Zinck.
