A gathering to celebrate the life of Kelvin Lee Boyer, age 62, of Saint Louisville, will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at the Druids Club, 19 West Harrison Street in Newark. The family will also have a private memorial service.
Kelvin was born August 22, 1957 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).
Kelvin was formerly employed with Layton’s Excavating. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, creeking, camping, and arrowhead and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by two sons, Kurt A. Boyer (Carol Witten) and Brandon Lee Boyer; grandchildren, Chase, Ayden and Makayla Boyer; great-grandson, Saint Yisra’el Kay; the love of his life and mother of his two sons, Linda Boyer; his parents, Bonnie (Ridenour) and Patrick Dyar; brothers, Walter “Oak” (Penny) Balo and Edward (Amy) Hupp, Jr.; sisters, Connie Balo McDaniel, Sharon “Fay” (Jim) Tish, Electa “Teck” Hupp, Pamela Hupp and Cora “Sis” (Danny) Sipe; many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his second parents, Beatrice and Lester Hupp; a brother, Charles "Sonny" Donahue; and a niece, Kendra Balo.
