Kenneth E. "Kenny" Rice

A celebration of the life of Kenneth E. Kenny Rice, Jr., age 47, of Newark, will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, at the American Legion, 85 South Sixth Street in Newark. Kenny was born July 6, 1970 in Newark, Ohio to the late Kenneth E., Sr. and Connie M. (Shrider) Rice. He passed away on December 2, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Kenny enjoyed flea markets and antique shows and had formerly operated a landscaping business. He is survived by five children, Connie, Kenny, Marilyn, Billie Jo and Kayle; step-daughter, Dallis; two brothers, Jimmy Shrider and Michael Dada Shrider; a sister, Lynn Rice; his significant other, Jessica Sellers and her children, Maziah and Maddox; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Angie Shrider. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Kenny and his family.
