Kevin A. Brown

A memorial service celebrating the life of Kevin A. Brown, age 67, of Newark, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Clifford Mason officiating.

Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Kevin was born November 20, 1956 in Newark, Ohio to the late Paul and Phyllis (Worstell) Brown. He passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his residence.

Kevin was a 1975 graduate of Lakewood High School. He retired in 2019 from Bayer Material Science following 32 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, Kevin enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his Harley. He also enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his roses. He was an avid fan of the Indians, Browns, and OSU football. Kevin’s family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with them. He also dearly loved his beloved bulldog, Oscar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Alicia A. (Rey) Brown, whom he married June 7, 1986; son, Daniel Brown of Newark; daughters, Sara (Chase) Smith of Newark, Mary-Catherine (Avery) Hout of Utica and Tiffany Black of Newark; grandchildren, Jaslyn Potter, Isaiah Potter, Keelan Smith, Grayson Hout, Ruby Hout, Knox Hout, and Archer Hout; great-grandchildren, Isla Richards, Layna Richards, and Callum Evans; brothers, Paul (Julie) Brown of Pickerington, Monte (Tammy) Brown of Florida, and Todd (Tracey) Brown of Heath; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Brown.
