Kim B. Minnich

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Kim B. Minnich, 69, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Inurnment will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery at a later date, where Kim will be laid to rest with her mother Jacqueline Hartford.

Kim died Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Newark. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 13, 1951, the daughter of Jacqueline (Yontz) Hartford. She was a graduate of Newark H.S., class of 1969, and was a hard working single parent, raising two daughters. She worked as a waitress prior to becoming employed at the Newark Post Office in 1987, from where she retired in 2016.

She was a kind, giving and helpful person. Always thinking of others, reaching out to see that children were fed and that they had clothing and toys. She was addicted to old movies, Loved the TCM network and watching Law and Order and her new love Outlander on T.V. She also enjoyed going on car rides.

She is survived by her loving family: her daughters Brooke (Don) Riggleman of Newark, Annie Minnich of Newark, Brother Jim (Kay) Roberts of York, Pa., sister Suzie (Jim) Rhoads of Middletown, brother Jeff (Gigi) Roberts of Summerville, S.C. and sister Dori (John) Shade of Cambridge; sister-in-law Jackie Rhoads of Columbus; her nieces and nephews Jenny, Jeff, Michelle, Jeffrey, Danielle, Katie and Erin, along with great nieces and nephew and her beloved grandchildren Lauren, Joshua and Nathan, of whom she was very proud.

She was preceded in death by her mother Jacqueline (Yontz) Hartford and her baby brother John Roberts.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, February 25, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.  Due to COVID 19, masks must be worn in the funeral home, and limits of 35 persons in the funeral home at one time will be observed.
