Lailah Anlinn Scott

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lailah Anlinn Scott, age 4, of Gambier, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 3, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Lailah was born October 31, 2012 in Newark, Ohio to Danny Lee Scott, Jr. and Victoria Nicole (Russell) Scott. She passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Utica. Lailah attended Happy Hearts Child Care Center in St. Louisville where she had many friends. She loved to dance, sing and jump on the trampoline. She loved to make people laugh and to go hunting with her father. Her favorite TV shows were Team Umizoomi, Peppa Pig, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire and Greys Anatomy. She is survived by her parents, Danny and Victoria, and was looking forward to being a big sister to Lennox; her grandparents, Mema Patricia Russell of Heath, Tammy (Ron) Galiher of Newark, and Danny Lee (Mary) Scott, Sr. of Graysville; great-grandma, Gannie Nancy Osborn of Pataskala; aunts and uncles, Aunt Nina Justina Scott of Newark, Uncie Gary Russell of Heath, Jerry (Kim) Koski of Heath; cousins, Jasmine and Aubrianna Galiher, as well as several other cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Pap Pap Gary Russell, in December of 2016; and great-grandmother, Martha Scott. Memorial contributions may be made to the Happy Hearts Child Care Center.
