Larry Arnold Wohnhas

Larry Arnold Wohnhas, age 72, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Larry was born November 26, 1941 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Dallas Frederick and Hilda Pauline (Martin) Wohnhas.Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had been a truck driver for Cardinal Carriers of Columbus. He was a member of the Eagles and the VFW in Ohio and Florida. An avid fan of baseball and football, he especially loved the OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and the Tampa Bay Rays.He is survived by sons, Christopher L. Wohnhas of Heath and Joe (Jennifer) Abdon of Pataskala; grandchildren, Daylin Hindel, Joseph Hindel and Skyler Abdon; brother, Jerry (Pat) Wohnhas of Pataskala; one niece and one nephew.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Wohnhas, on June 14, 2009.At his request, there will be no calling hours or service observed.Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Wohnhas family.
