Larry Marvin Francis

Larry M. Francis, 71, of Hebron, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his family, following an extended illness. He was born February 13, 1950, in Columbus, the son for the late Robert M. and Lucille (Oldfield) Francis. He was a graduate of Watkins Memorial H.S., class of 1968, and retired after 36 years with Owens Corning Fiberglas in Newark.

Larry was a devoted family man, loved supporting his children and grandchildren with attendance at their events. He especially enjoyed women’s basketball, having had OSU Lady Buckeye’s season tickets for many years, and loved seeing his granddaughter Savannah play high school and college basketball. His lifelong passion was fishing.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife Patrice (Matthews) whom he married on May 26, 1973; his daughters Emily (Tom) Pavoni and their children Savannah and Bella; Elizabeth (Eric) Huffman and their son Maximus; his brother Jim (Karen) Francis; and sister Sally (Tom) Wheeler; along with many nieces and nephews. His faithful canine companion, Maggie Mae, also survives him.

Honoring Larry’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
