Larry Warren Haught

February 19, 1945 — September 5, 2023

Just after the midnight hour on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 Larry Warren Haught was serenaded into the presence of the Lord with songs and prayer at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Larry was born to Clyde and Evelyn Edna (Barker) Haught in Tucson, Arizona on February 19,1945. He was a 1964 graduate of Walnut Township School. After graduation he enlisted with the US Marine Corp and was a Viet Nam veteran.

He was married to Donna (Stack) Haught on July 13,1968 for over 55 years,  a union that begat four children.
Larry worked as a Lucent Security Specialist and retired from Lucent (Western Electric) after over 35 years service.  He also worked part time jobs as a Lieutenant Sheriff Deputy as well as having a security position with the Flying Tiger Cargo transport. He so enjoyed his yearly deer hunting seasons and looked forward to it. The family enjoyed the fruits of his (fun) labor with lots of venison. Larry also was part of a group of men from his church who enjoyed excursions riding their motorcycles together.  Larry was a member of Christian Life Center in Heath, Ohio where he served the Lord as an usher.

Larry leaves behind in precious memories his wife, Donna; his children, Adrianne Stephens, Ryan and Clint; his 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren;  sisters Dina (Ted) Keller and Janet George; sisters-in-law KayAnn Kuhlwein and Deborah Stimmel, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents and in-laws Stephen and Clara Stack, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Denise, his sister Donna, son-in-law Michael Stephens; great-grandson Alexander; and five brothers-in-law Bill George, Stephen, Roger, Michael, and Mark Stack.

A one hour viewing prior to the funeral service at 11:00am will be held from 10am - 11am on Friday, September 8, 2023 with funeral immediately following at Christian Life Center, 665 Linville Road, Heath Ohio, with Pastor Michael Ensey and Bishop T. L. Kirk officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at the Kirkersville Cemetery.
