Larry Gene Kopp

A funeral service celebrating the life of Larry Gene Kopp, age 77, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Gehring officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Larry was born March 4, 1944 in Licking County, Ohio to the late Russell and Florence (Bogle) Kopp. He passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at his home.

Larry retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he had been employed for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newark. Larry enjoyed playing cards with his Euchre club, playing Bingo, and collecting coins and other items.

He is survived by a son, Eric G. (Lora) Kopp of Newark; daughters, Laura Ridenbaugh and Tracy Diane Dingy, both of Newark; grandchildren, Brian, Adam and Jeremy Willey, Brad and Joshua Kopp, Jason and Kyle Stowers and Michelle Kopp; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Gary Kopp of Newark; two nephews and one niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy Diane (Mechling) Kopp; a grandson, Christopher James Willey; two brothers, Earl and Bill Kopp; and an infant sister.
