A funeral service celebrating the life of Larry A. Levingston, 64 of Newark, will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Friday, prior to the funeral service, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Larry was born in Newark, Ohio on February 15, 1958 to the late Ralph and Ruth (Andrews) Levingston. He passed away on November 27, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during Desert Storm. Prior to retirement, he was a senior network engineer with Ohio Health for over 25 years. He enjoyed reading Sci-Fi, farming and creating ships on the computer, but most important was the time he spent with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Jane (Slate) Levingston, whom he married February 15, 2007; children, Patricia Richardson, Marc Levingston, Dillon Douglas, Scotty (Kellie) Culver, Justin (Samantha) Culver and Bret Culver; brother, Lynn Levingston; granddaughter, Rhesa Richardson of the home; other grandchildren, Alexis, Isabelle, Fiona, Sophia, Polly, Dylan, Austin (Janel), Zachary (Dee Dee) and Gabe; special niece, Bella; nephews, Seth and J.J.; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Larry to the Licking County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
