Larry Paul "Pete" James

A graveside service celebrating the life of Larry Paul Pete James, age 74, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, at Zanesville Memorial Park, 1475 Military Road, Zanesville, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Military honors will be observed.Pete was born August 11, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late John Paul and Dorothy (Cavey) James. He passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).Pete retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he had been employed for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles 2801 where he was Chaplain and a trustee. He was also a member of the Millersport VFW 1388.He is survived by his companions of 10 years, Gayle Thomas and Hershey; sons, Greg (Deborah) James of Morenci, Michigan and Brian (Bonnie) James of Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann James;a son, Doug James; andtwo grandsons, Dusty James and Jason James.Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Hoskinson Funeral Home, P.O.
