Larry Wayne Riffey

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Larry Wayne Riffey, 71, of Granville will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial with full military honors by the Licking Co. Veterans Alliance will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery, where Larry will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Vivian, who preceded him in death in 2013. The family will receive friends at calling hours on Wednesday evening, February 16, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville.

Larry was born Oct 18, 1950, in Knoxville, TN., the son of the late Edward M. and Beulah Marie (Scarborough) Riffey. He served honorably in the US (United States) Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and was retired after a lengthy career in the Kroger Warehouse.

He was a quiet man and enjoyed working hard to provide for his family.

He is survived by his loving sons: Brian (Tara) Griffith and Sam (Nicole) Riffey; his brother Robert (Carolyn) Riffey; grandchildren Donovan, Andrew and Tyler Griffith, Andrew, Grant and Jakob Johnson, Alyson and Caleb Riffey; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Glenda Faye (Phillip) Gee.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the Solove Cancer Research Institute at the Ohio State University. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
