A memorial service celebrating the life of Larry E. Royster II, 42, of Newark, will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Rev. Michael A. Noble officiating. Larry was born in Newark, Ohio on October 9, 1980 to Larry E. Royster and Kim D. (Green) Royster. He departed this world at Grant Medical Center in Columbus on September 15, 2023. He’s now walking with the Lord. Larry had a special love for the Lord and was a Member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He always had helping hand, loved music, especially Onyx and Wu Tang Clan, spending time with loved ones’ and cherished his family. Larry leaves behind one beautiful daughter, Zoey Rose Royster; mother, Kim D. (Albert Covington) Royster; father, Larry E. (Darlene) Royster; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Byes; brothers and sisters, Angela E. Royster, Diane R. (Kevin) Royster, Elizabeth M. (Tim) Royster, Courtland T. Royster and Brian Evans; special aunt, Karen Douglas; God-mother, Margie Harris; special friends, Lawrence Scott, Gavin Wright, Marcus Wells, Ricky Saunders and Ricky Crouse; and a handful of nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews, many special cousins and plenty of friends. Larry will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. Larry was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willie A. Green; maternal father, Robert L. Byes; paternal grandmother, Ruby Mitchell; and paternal grandfather, Harry Royster. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Larry to the American Cancer Society.
