Lawrence Stiffler

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Lawrence Neil Stiffler, 78, of Thornville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, with calling hours from 12:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.Lawrence died late Saturday afternoon in Newark following a brief illness. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 16, 1937, the son of the late Charles W and Mozell (Mathys) Stiffler. He attended Mifflin H.S., and was retired from the 70/37 Truck Stop. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.His wife, Sharon Marie Stiffler, whom he married on Jan 20, 1976, preceded him in death on July 9, 2015.He is survived by his children David, Delbert (Diane) and Darren (Nancy) Stiffler and Debbie (Jeff) Brown; along with Step-son Bryan Chapman and step daughter Sherry Ramsey; many grandchildren, along with brothers, John, Mike, Harry and Jeff, and sisters Marilyn, and Ann, and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son Donald Stiffler,step son Roger Dale Chapman Jr, brother Charles and his sister Julie.An on-line guest book and video tribute to Larry are available atwww.hoskinsonfuneral.comHOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, are honored to care for Larry and his family.
