**Obituary for Leo Brent Prom**
*May 6, 1958 - February 23, 2025*
Thornville, OH — Leo Brent Prom, a devoted father, grandfather, and accomplished carpenter, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025. Born in Shamrock, Texas, on May 6th, 1958, he spent his final years in the heartwarming community of Thornville, OH.
Brent was a master carpenter, known not only for his skill and dedication to his craft but also for his generous spirit and unyielding willingness to lend a helping hand. Self-employed, he built a legacy of both structural and personal foundations that will stand the test of time.
Beyond his professional life, Leo was a man of simple pleasures, most content when surrounded by his family on the farm. He took great joy in giving his grandchildren tractor rides, sharing stories, and embarking on playful adventures, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linnie Prom; daughter Caroline Johnson and her husband Michael, his son Brent Prom, and his daughter Elizabeth Preston along with her husband Sam. Brent's brother Brad and his wife "T"; Brent leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Harper, Hadley, James, and Nevaeh, and he held a special bond with his grandson Rowan. His loyal fur baby, Otis, will also feel the loss of his presence.
Leo was preceded in death by his father, Leo Prom, and his mother, Betty Crane, step father Ralph Crane along with his sister Sandra, and his brother Daryl; whom he has now joined in eternal rest.
Honoring Brent's wishes, he will be cremated and no visitation or services will be held at this time, The family has arranged for a celebration of Brent's remarkable life to be held closer to his birthday next spring, allowing friends and loved ones to gather and reminisce the joyful moments they were fortunate to share with him.
