Leonard “Butch” E. Hook, 71, of Thornville, died Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Grant Medical Center. He was born October 14, 1951, in New Lexington to the late Leonard and Shella Joy (Allen) Hook. Butch graduated from Lakewood High School. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He enjoyed hunting, working on his hobby farm, and loved spending time with his family. Butch was a loving husband, father, and a devoted “papa” to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teresa; daughters, Stacy Chalfant-Walters (Bill) and Kimberly Hook (Missy); grandchildren, Bryce, Kelci (Devin), Sebashten, Brianna, Ashton, Alex, Philly, and Tristin; sisters, Sheri (Dan) Humphrey and Cinda (Jerry) Butler; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation Great Lakes Chapter Attn: Donor Services, 200 SE 1st St. Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131. Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2023, from 6-7pm at the Hoskinson Funeral Home- Thornville, 56 S. Main St., Thornville, where a service of remembrance will begin at 7:00 pm.
